not marked as a favorite taxon *Acer platanoides Linnaeus. Common name: Norway Maple. Phenology: Mar-Apr. Habitat: Suburban woodlands, disturbed forests, hedgerows. Distribution: Native of Europe. In much of the ne. United States, A. platanoides has become a noxious weed tree.
