Leaves: Leaves alternate but mostly basal; on petioles with clasping, purple sheaths; to 12 in. long; ternately divided into 6 or 9 oval to linear segments that are toothed and hairy on the margins.
Inforescence:
Flowers: Flowers in round-topped, compound umbels to 3 in. wide at ends of stem and branches and consisting of 12-20 stalked umbellets. Each flower yellow to cream-colored, tiny, consisting of 5 minute, incurved petals, protruding stamens and a divided also protruding style.
Fruits: Fruit a joined pair of oval, winged seeds.
