Crataegus ×antiplasta Sargent (pro sp.). Common name: Antiplasta Hawthorn. Phenology: Late Mar-Apr; Sep-Oct. Habitat: Moist lowlands, prairies. Distribution: E. and coastal Texas.
Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
Taxonomy Comments: A putative hybrid between members of the Virides and Molles series. Similar to C. ×atrorubens Ashe, and part of a complex of interserial hybrids named from 1900 to 1922 from the region of MO, AR, and TX.
