Mimosa strigillosa Torrey & A. Gray. Powderpuff Mimosa, Vergonzosa. Phen: Apr-Nov; May-Nov. Hab: Floodplain forests, open wet areas, also cultivated. Dist: A Southeastern Coastal Plain endemic: e. GA south to FL, west to TX and ne. Mexico (CHH, SLP, TAM). It might be expected in se. SC.
