Nellica liebmanniana (Müller of Aargau) Bouman ssp. platylepis (Small) G.A. Levin & Weakley. Phen: Late Mar-late Jun. Hab: Wet hammocks and pine flatwoods. Dist: Endemic to the "Big Bend" area of the FL Gulf Coast (Dixie, Lafayette, Levy, and Taylor counties).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Apparently closely related to P. liebmannianus ssp. liebmannianus of the southwestern Gulf Coast (Tamaulipas south to Yucatan and Belize).

Synonymy : = Levin & Weakley (2023) in Weakley et al (2023); = Nellica liebmannianus Müller of Aargau ssp. 1; = Phyllanthus liebmannianus Müller of Aargau ssp. platylepis (Small) G.L.Webster – Fl2, FNA12, K1, K3, K4, WH3, Govaerts, Frodin, & Radcliffe-Smith (2000), Webster (1970); = Phyllanthus platylepis Small – S; < Nellica liebmannianus Müller of Aargau – Bouman et al (2022)
