Canella winterana (Linnaeus) Gaertner. Common name: Canella, Wild-cinnamon, Cinnamon-bark, Pepper-cinnamon. Phenology: (Jan-) mid May-Jul (-Dec). Habitat: Tropical hammocks. Distribution: S. FL; West Indies; se. Mexico (CAM, ROO, YUC); ne. South America (Venezuela).
