Juncus texanus (Engelmann) Coville. Subgenus: Juncus. Section: Ozophyllum. Common name: Texas Rush. Phenology: Jun-Jul. Habitat: Low areas. Distribution: Sc. OK south to c. TX.
ID notes: Similar to J. torreyi, but with outer tepals shorter than inner. This is a member of section Ozophyllum (leaves with septate bands) that is superficially similar to other members with spherical glomerules.
