Habitat: A wide variety of dry to moist disturbed areas, pine plantations, fruit groves. Distribution: Native of Africa. Introduced in the Gulf states (GA, AL, FL) (FNA; Carter, Baker, & Morris 2009) and se. SC (Bradley et al. [in prep.]).
