*Calluna vulgaris (Linnaeus) J. Hull. Common name: Heather, Ling, Scotch Heather. Phenology: Jul-Aug. Habitat: Roadbanks, railroad grades. Distribution: Native of Europe. Waif or naturalized in Tucker County, WV (Clarkson 1958; Luteyn et al. 1996) and other scattered locations.

Origin/Endemic status: Europe
