not marked as a favorite taxon Carex hyalinolepis Steudel. Common name: Shoreline Sedge. Phenology: Apr-Jun (-Jul). Habitat: Tidal marshes, tidal and nontidal swamp forests. Distribution: New Jersey south to Panhandle Florida, west to Texas, north in the interior to Kansas and Nebraska; disjunct around the Great Lakes in Michigan, Indiana, and s. Ontario.
