Govenia floridana P.M. Brown. Common name: Florida Govenia. Phenology: Nov-Dec. Habitat: Rockland hammocks. Distribution: Endemic to s. FL (Miami-Dade County); possibly extinct.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: This species has also been considered to be a disjunct population of the much more widespread G. utriculata.

Synonymy : = FNA26, K4, NS, POWO, WH3, Brown (2002); < Govenia utriculata Sw.) Lindl. — Bah, WI, Luer (1972), misapplied. Basionym: Govenia floridana P.M.Br. 2000
