Lithospermum onosmodium J.I. Cohen. Common name: Southwestern Marbleseed. Phenology: May-Jul. Habitat: Rocky barrens and woodlands, glades. Distribution: Wc. and sw. AR and e. OK south to c. and se. TX and sw. LA; disjunct eastwards in TN.

Taxonomy Comments: As explained by Cohen & Davis (2011) and Cohen (2022), Lithospermum bejariense A.L.P.P. de Candolle is a synonym of Lithospermum caroliniense, and Onosmodium bejariense A.L.P.P. de Candolle (a different plant), received a nomen novum when transferred to Lithospermum (because blocked by Lithospermum bejariense A.L.P.P. de Candolle): Lithospermum onosmodium J.I. Cohen.
