*Lappula squarrosa (Retzius) Dumortier. Common name: Two-ray Stickseed, Beggar’s-lice, European Stickseed. Phenology: May-Sep. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Europe. Introduced south to MD, WV, KY, and TN.

Origin/Endemic status: Europe

Synonymy : = C, Il, Mi, NE, NY, Pa, Al-Shehbaz (1991); = Lappula echinata Gilib. — F, G, Tx, WV; = Lappula lappula (L.) H.Karst. — S. Basionym: Myosotis squarrosa Retz. 1781
