Amphiachyris dracunculoides (A.P. de Candolle) Nuttall. Common name: Prairie Broomweed, Broom Snakeroot. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Limestone glades, disturbed areas over calcareous rocks; also rarely eastwards as a wool-combing mill waif (Nesom 2004d). Distribution: This species is relatively common and weedy in cedar glade habitats in the Nashville Basin of c. TN, where apparently native (Chester, Wofford, & Kral 1997).
