*Miscanthus sinensis Andersson. Common name: Eulalia, Chinese Silver Grass. Phenology: Apr-Nov. Habitat: Roadsides, powerline rights-of-way, other disturbed habitats, increasingly moving into a wide variety of natural habitats, including those with prescribed fire. Distribution: Native of e. Asia.
Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia
Taxonomy Comments: Forms with leaves cross-variegated or linear-variegated with yellow are cultivated and sometimes escape or persist (in addition to the much more common green-leaved form).
Other Comments: This species is becoming aggressively invasive.
