Valeriana pauciflora Michaux. Common name: Pink Valerian, Long-tube Valerian. Phenology: May-Jun; Jun-Jul. Habitat: Very nutrient-rich alluvium in floodplain forests, and rich soils of lower slopes. Distribution: Maryland, se. Pennsylvania, and sw. Pennsylvania, west to s. Illinois, south to n. Virginia, sc. Tennessee, Kentucky, and Missouri.
