Calliandra eriophylla Bentham. Section: Androcallis. Common name: Rio Grande Stickpea, False-mesquite Calliandra. Phenology: Mar-May (-Jul). Habitat: Sandy, gravelly, limestone, or caliche soils. Distribution: Se., s., and w. TX west to CA, south to n. Mexico.
