not marked as a favorite taxon *Astragalus chinensis Linnaeus f.. Common name: Chinese Milkvetch. Phenology: May-Aug. Habitat: Meadows, bottomlands, riverbanks. Distribution: Native of Asia (China, Russian Far East); introduced in Idaho and Oklahoma, in our region known only from a 1940 collection in Payne Co., Oklahoma (Ward 275 – OKLA).

ID notes: The graduated cream to yellow petals and the long-stipitate, fleshy, but ultimately woody and rugulose, egg-shaped fruits distinguish Astragalus chinensis from all native species.
