Botrychium angustisegmentum (Pease & A.H. Moore) Fernald. Common name: Lanceleaf Moonwort, Narrow Triangle Moonwort. Phenology: Jul-Aug. Habitat: Forests and grassy balds. Distribution: B. angustisegmentum ranges from NL (Newfoundland) and ON south to VA, WV, NC, OH, MI, and MN, and in the Rocky Mountains of Canada and MT

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Other Comments: B. lanceolatum, into which B. angustisegmentum has sometimes been lumped or treated as only infraspecifically distinct, is widespread in w. North America. The two taxa are genetically distinct (Farrar & Wendel 1996) and are here accorded species rank.
