Andromeda polifolia Linnaeus var. latifolia W. Aiton. Common name: Bog-rosemary. Phenology: May-Jul; Jun-Sep. Habitat: Bogs. Distribution: Circumboreal, in North America from NL (Newfoundland) and NL (Labrador) west to SK, south to NJ, ne. PA (Rhoads & Klein 1993), e. WV (at Cranberry Glades, Pocahontas County), IN, IL, and MN. Var. polifolia is also circumboreal, overall more northern.
