Crataegus ×verruculosa Sargent. Common name: Warty Hawthorn. Phenology: Mar-Apr; Aug-Oct. Habitat: Forest edges, streamsides, pastures, scrubland. Distribution: S. MO, possibly n. AR.
Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
Taxonomy Comments: This is an assumed hybrid originating from a form of C. crus-galli and C. collina. Similar is the entity C. ×collicola, but slightly differing morphology between these taxa may reflect different genotypes involved in the parental combination. Basionym: Crataegus ×verruculosa Sarg. 1905
