Galium spurium Linnaeus. Hab: Disturbed areas. Dist: NJ and northwards, but probably more widespread in our area than known at this time (records included under Galium aparine); n. Eurasia.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: This taxon has usually been included under Galium aparine in North American literature, but is generally accorded species rank in Eurasia. See Moore (1975) and for discussion.
