Solanum campechiense Linnaeus. Common name: Redberry Nightshade. Phenology: Feb-Dec. Habitat: Tropical/subtropical dry forests, lake and stream banks. Distribution: S. TX south into s. Mexico; West Indies; Central America; South America.
ID notes: Solanum campechiense is an annual herb, to 0.5 (-1.0) m tall. The berries are purplish when ripe (contrary to the common name).
