not marked as a favorite taxon Eriogonum greggii Torrey & A. Gray. Common name: Gregg's Wild-buckwheat. Phenology: Jul-May. Habitat: In sparse grasslands and low shrublands on shallow sandy soils over caliche (Carr 2016). Distribution: S. TX (Hidalgo and Starr counties) and ne. Mexico (COA, NLE).
