*Mallotus japonicus (Sprengel) Müller of Aargau. Common name: Food-wrapper-plant, Akamegashiwa. Phenology: Apr-Jun. Habitat: Suburban woodlands. Distribution: Native of China, Taiwan, and Japan.

Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia

Synonymy : = FNA12, K4, Lin et al (2013); = n/a — RAB; Rottlera japonica Sprengel. Basionym: Rottlera japonica Spreng. 1826
