Iliamna remota E.L. Greene. Common name: Kankakee Globe-mallow. Phenology: Jun-Aug; Jul-Oct. Habitat: Shores and gravel bars along rivers, and along railroad embankments. Distribution: W. VA; nw. IN and ne. IL.
Origin/Endemic status: Native
Taxonomy Comments: Considered by some to be introduced only in our area, however, the VA populations are genetically different than those in IN and IL (Bodo Slotta & Porter 2006).
