Monarda citriodora Cervantes ex Lagasca y Segura var. citriodora . Common name: Lemon Bergamot. Phenology: Apr-Sep; Jul-Nov. Habitat: Prairies, oak savannas, roadsides, other disturbed places. Distribution: IL, MO, KS south to AL, MS, LA, TX, NM, and Mexico; also naturalized outside that range (the native distribution unclear).
