Guzmania monostachia (Linnaeus) Rusby ex Mez. Common name: West Indian Tufted-airplant, West Indian Guzmania. Habitat: Epiphytic on trees in swamps and wet tropical hammocks. Distribution: S. peninsular FL; West Indies; Central America and South America.
