Avenella flexuosa (Linnaeus) Drejer. Common name: Common Hairgrass, Wavy Hairgrass. Phenology: Apr-Aug. Habitat: Grassy balds, high elevation rocky summits, rocky or sandy woodlands. Distribution: Circumboreal, ranging south in North America to n. GA, OH, WI, and MN; disjunct in AR and OK, and in Mexico.
