*Hypochaeris albiflora (Kuntze) Azevêdo-Gonçalves & Matzenbacher. Section: Phanoderis. Series: Microcephala. White-flowered Cat’s-ear. Phen: Apr-May. Hab: Disturbed areas. Dist: Native of South America. This species has been found as a naturalized introduction at Fort Pulaski (Chatham County, GA) (T. Govus, pers. comm., 2006), in Camden County, GA (Carter, Baker, & Morris 2009), and in Beaufort, Charleston, and Jasper counties, SC (Bradley et al. [in prep.]).

ID notes: Hypochaeris albiflora is characterized by having distally branched stems, well-developed cauline leaves, corollas equal to or slightly longer than the involucres, with tubes equal to or slightly longer than ligules, and dark brown, almost black, beaked cypselae (Mailhos, Bonifacino, & Marchesi 2023). It is the only species in our region with white corollas
