VA Piedmont. Poindexter, Weakley, & Denslow (2011) report the naturalization of C. nigrescens in Alleghany Co. NC.

Other Comments: C. transalpina Schleicher ex A.P. de Candolle was also reported for VA by Kartesz (1999).
