Schisandra glabra (Brickell) Rehder. Common name: Bay Starvine, Climbing-magnolia, Magnolia-vine. Phenology: Apr-Jun; Jul-Aug. Habitat: Rich slopes adjacent to bottomland forests, mesic "islands" surrounded by bottomlands, moist hammocks. Distribution: Ne. NC (Martin County), sc. NC (Gaston County), n. GA, w. TN, e. and se. KY, and e. AR south to the FL Panhandle and LA; Mexico (Baja California Sur, Hidalgo, Veracruz).

Synonymy : = Ar, Fl2, FNA3, K4, NS, POWO, RAB, Tn, WH3, Godfrey (1988), Saunders (2001); Stellandria glabra Brickell = n/a — C; = Schisandra coccinea Michx. — Tx, W; = Schizandra coccinea Michx. — S, S13, orthographic variant. Basionym: Stellandria glabra Brickell 1803
