*Cyperus prolixus Kunth. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of the Neotropics.
ID notes: C. prolixus somewhat resembles C. giganteus in the field, but has compressed rays and erect-ascending spikelets with much longer, spreading scales.
