Cyperus haspan Linnaeus. Common name: Sheathed Flatsedge. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Tidal marshes, other marshes, ponded depressions, low fields, ditches, waterfowl impoundments, weed in rice fields. Distribution: Pantropical in distribution, north in North America to se. VA (MD?), sc. TN, c. AR, and c. TX.
