Stems: Stems slender, with longitudinal lines, branched above, smooth.
Leaves: Leaves basal and alternate on the stem, petiolate (petioles reduced upward), pinnately divided into 3-7 oval to lance-shaped leaflets (basal leaves usually with 3 leaflets), each leaflet to 2 in. long, coarsely serrate, leathery, shiny, smooth.
Inforescence:
Flowers: Flowers in flat-topped compound umbels, to 3 in. wide, at stem and branch ends, with 6-12 umbellets each, each containing 4-12 flowers. Flowers golden yellow, less than 1/4 in. wide, with 5 incurved petals, 5 protruding stamens and a protruding, divided style.
Fruits: Fruit a joined pair of ridged, oval seeds.
