Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Synonymy : = Fl5, Meso4.2; = Cordia curassavica (Jacq.) Roem. & Schult. — K4, WH3, Al-Shehbaz (1991), Miller (1985). Basionym: Varronia curassavica Jacq. 1760
