not marked as a favorite taxon Astragalus reflexus Torrey & A. Gray. Common name: Texas Milkvetch, Drooping Milkvetch. Phenology: Feb-May. Habitat: Prairies, roadsides, edges of ponds and lakes on moist calcareous soils. Distribution: Nc. to s. Texas. This species is now very rare with only one known extant population on Fort Cavazos Military Reservation in Bell County, Texas (Torch Portal 2024; E. Keith, pers. obs.). Other than the Fort Cavazos population, it was last collected in 1965 in Zavala County in s. Texas (Torch Portal 2024).
