Ayenia limitaris Cristóbal. Common name: Rio Grande Ayenia, Tamaulipan Kidneypetal. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Subtropical evergreen/deciduous woodlands on alluvial deposits on floodplains and terrace, on calcareous or clay soils, in the Rio Grande Valley. Distribution: Extreme s. TX (Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy counties), TAM, COA, JAL, ZAC, AGU.
