Trepocarpus aethusae Nuttall ex A.P. de Candolle. Common name: White-nymph. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Rich moist forests, floodplain forests, esges of swamps, calcareous glades, sometimes weedy in disturbed soils. Distribution: Nc. North Carolina south to Panhandle Florida and Alabama, west to e. Texas, north in the interior to w. Tennessee, w. Kentucky, Arkansas, and se. Oklahoma. Nelson (1993) stated that despite "something of a reputation as a rarity", Trepocarpus is "a reasonably successful weed".
