Cakile lanceolata (Willdenow) O.E. Schulz ssp. fusiformis (Greene) Rodman. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Beaches. Distribution: Peninsular Florida; Louisiana; Mexico (Yucatán and Quintana Roo) and Central America (Belize). There seems to be no basis for the suggestion that this species is not native in Florida.
