*Zelkova Spach. Zelkova.

A genus of 5 species, trees, of e. Asia, sw. Asia, and se. Europe.

ID notes:Zelkova serrata and Ulmus parvifolia are sometimes confused, because of similar habit and exfoliating bark. The leaves of Zelkova are strongly acuminate (vs. acute in U. parvifolia), larger, and with more regularly pinnate lateral veins.
