Acourtia runcinata (D. Don) B.L. Turner. Common name: Featherleaf Desert-peony. Phenology: (Jan-) Mar-Aug (-Dec). Habitat: Juniper and oak woodlands, matorral. Distribution: C. Texas south to Mexico (Chihuahua, Coahuila, Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Zacatecas).
ID notes: Heads have been interpreted as both quasi-radiate and liguliflorous.
