Polygonella fimbriata (Elliott) Horton. Sandhill Jointweed. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: Longleaf pine sandhills. Dist: E. GA (not far from SC) and se. AL south to Panhandle FL.
ID notes: This species is very similar to P. robusta, but has thinner inflorescences and leaves, and a smaller stature overall. It is perhaps somewhat rare across its range (AL S1; FL S1; GA S2/S3?); peninsular FL transitioning into P. robusta.
