not marked as a favorite taxon Parthenium hispidum Rafinesque. Common name: Ozark Wild Quinine, Hispid Wild Quinine. Phenology: May-Jul (-Aug). Habitat: Barrens, prairies, especially over limestone or dolostone. Distribution: IL and KS south through the Interior Highlands to nw. LA and ne. TX; disjunct in c. TN.
