Ruppia maritima Linnaeus. Widgeon-grass, Ditch-grass. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: Brackish estuaries, rivers, marsh pools. Dist: Nearly cosmopolitan.

Taxonomy Comments: Crow & Hellquist (2023) discuss the possibility that two reproductively separated taxa are present, at least north of our region.
