not marked as a favorite taxon *Helianthus nuttallii Torrey & A. Gray ssp. nuttallii. Common name: Nuttall's Sunflower. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Moist open places, ditches, roadsides. Distribution: Primarily western with scattered (likely introduced) collections from the Great Plains. The inclusion of this species in OK (and the entire flora) is based upon a single specimen from Pushmataha county (J. Taylor 22422). No specimens could be located from Missouri.
