Stachys arenicola Britton. Woundwort. Phen: Jun-Aug. Hab: Marl fens, upland depressions swamps, wet meadows, roadsides, banks of waterfowl impoundments, especially over limestone of mafic rocks; possibly adventive in part from farther west, but at least some populations native. Dist: NS and QC west to AK, south to VA, KY, AR, OK, NM, AZ, and CA.
