Oenothera

not marked as a favorite taxon Oenothera linifolia Nuttall. Common name: Threadleaf Sundrops, Flaxleaf Sundrops. Phenology: May-Jul. Habitat: Barrens, glades, dry openings, and fields. Distribution: C. Virginia west to s. Illinois and se. Kansas, south to Panhandle Florida and se. Texas. Some of the occurrences east of the Mississippi River may be adventive. Belden et al. (2004) discuss the Virginia occurrence.
