Echinocereus poselgeri Lemaire. Common name: Dahlia Hedgehog Cactus, Sacasil, Wilcox Cactus, Rattail Cactus. Phenology: Feb-Apr; May-Aug. Habitat: Alluvial areas, thornscrub on gravelly or sandy hillsides. Distribution: S. TX and n. Mexico (COA, DGO, NLE, TAM).

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Synonymy : = FNA4, K4, Mex; = Cereus poselgeri (Lem.) J.M.Coult. — Tx; = Wilcoxia poselgeri (Lem.) Britton & Rose — S13, Weniger (1984)
