not marked as a favorite taxon Pellaea gastonyi Windham. Common name: Gastony's Cliffbrake. Phenology: Jun-Oct. Habitat: Calcareous ledges and crevices. Distribution: Distribution poorly known, but apparently Rocky Mountains from Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia south to Wyoming and South Dakota; disjunct in Missouri and Kansas.

Taxonomy Comments: An apogamous tetraploid, derived from Pellaea atropurpurea ssp. missouriensis × Pellaea glabella. Confirmed for the MO Ozarks (J. Beck, pers.comom., 2025)
